Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Cant Lose

I'll start out talking about my favorite shows. My absolute favorite show is Friday Night Lights. It's about a High School football team in Texas. It's loosely connected with the movie and book and I think it's the best thing on TV. I also really like Psych. I think I saw someone else post about Psych, but it's about a fake psychic who solves police cases. It's just a really funny show all around.
Those are definitely my two favorite shows, but I also like Food Network and ESPN. I only like ESPN during football and basketball season, though. There's always a period with just baseball and golf that I have trouble dealing with.
I don't really have any shows that I hate. If I don't like something, I won't watch it. I saw Glee once and really didn't like it, though.
I think that TV, in some cases can be very artful, but in most cases, it's just a distraction. You can almost always be doing something better with your time than watching TV. It's definitely nice to have something mindless that you can do to wind down, though.
We talked about advertising in class, and I know that I get influenced. I would like to think that it's more that I'm exposed to products that I might be interested in, and less that I'm subconsciously compelled to buy something that I don't want. I'm not sure.
This isn't really related, but I really like how you can change channels and figure out who watches what shows bases on what's being advertised, and at what times different products are being advertised. Like when G4 used to be on (I don't know why I don't get it anymore), the late night shows used to almost exclusively advertise online dating website for the lonely single men that watch shows about video games at 2 in the morning.
This is also very unrelated. But has anyone seen the new axe commercial where they're talking about washing balls? It's weird. Here it is.
