The average american watches 4 hours and 35 minutes of TV a day. I think this is more a result of leaving your tv on than actually watching it that long. This is what happens at my house. Someone will sit down and start watching something then get bored with it, leave, but not turn the TV off. Sharing the TV in the living room also means that I have to watch a lot of lame shows my sister likes. These include the Teen mom one, NCIS (which isn't that bad for a cop show), and for some reason she still watches kid's shows on Nickelodeon and Disney (shes 20 years old). I usually just go do something else when she puts those on.
TV shows i like are Family Guy, South Park, and ESPN shows like PTI. House and The Office are alright. Shows I hate are pretty much every reality show, bad comedies (the tyler perry shows) and I also hate some channels in general. These include the food channel, VH1, E, Animal Planet, and CMT among many others. I hate all of these because in my opinion they shouldn't exist. They also seem to have terrible programming.
I think that TV is crafted silliness that is funded by companies wanting to advertise to mass audiences. I do not disapprove of this becuase it makes TV cheaper and unless your completely gullible the advertisements shouldn't affect you. I do hate the advertisements though. Except during the Super Bowl, commercials are just so generic and annoying it almost ruins TV altogether.
P.S. Sorry im late Mr. Logsdon totally forgot it was due Saturday not Sunday.
