Shows that I actually try to watch every week would be The Office (except that it's really been going downhill...), 30 Rock after it if I have time, and 24 when it was going on. There are other shows that I like, such as Community, Modern Family, and okay, it's really not a good show at all, but I got kind of engaged in the story line of Pretty Little Liars... and I'll sometimes DVR them or look them up on Hulu, but I generally don't take the time to watch them live.
Alright, onto shows I hate. I really don't feel that strongly about most shows, but there's this one little show that is completely stereotypical and derogatory.... it's name is Jersey Shore. WORST. SHOW. EVER. I mean come on, Snookie's not even Italian!!! Who wants to watch an hour of fake "Italians" run around with their big hair and fake tans?? If you're really interested in the Italian culture, then here's an idea - go to Italy! It's actually quite nice. And judging from experience, people there DON'T actually resemble those of Jersey Shore in any way, shape, or form. It's just been giving people a negative connotation of Italians, and you know what? I think I'm gonna go write them an angry letter after I finish this. But seriously, I don't know HOW MANY times I have been called a Guido or a Guidette in the past two years, or however long that monstrosity to human kind has been on air... it's just a very unfortunate coincidence that those two contextually offensive terms happen to sound so much like my last name. Which means LEADER anyways. NOT annoying-loud-unpleasant-greasy-"tan"-stupid hair and nickname-FAKE ITALIANS. And really, the second season is in Miami. If you're going through all this trouble to denigrate a group of people, you could at least do it consistently and not contradict, oh, I don't know, the name of your show.
Oops. I hope that rant semi-effectively responds to the assignment..
