Tivo is my life.

Honestly, I love TV. I watch it everyday. I don't know what I would be able to do without a Tivo though. Almost all of the television shows I watch are recorded. This includes Leverage, Glee, and Psych: my three favorites. The only shows I ever watch live are Ellen and Phineas and Ferb. I like pretty much any show, but I hate Lawrence Welk. My dad watches it every Sunday at six without fail. For awhile it was amusing to watch creepy old men serenade women half their age in wonderfully tacky outfits, but now it is just plain boring. I know for a fact that I have seen every episode so I know that my dad has too, but I guess he loves it enough to watch reruns over and over and over.

I think television can be a terrible brainwashing tool if used improperly. The amount of TV kids watch should be limited and the shows they watch should be monitored. Also, I think commercials aimed towards children are inappropriate because they can't distinguish between show and advertisement. On the other hand, I don't think television in general is bad. I do watch TV every night, but it's usually with my parents. We always watch something recorded that we all like. If we didn't do this, I would probably just stay in my room all night reading or something. So I definitely don't think loving TV is a bad thing, as long as it doesn't become the focus of anyone's life.
